FAQS

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR PAYMENT?

Table Talk Therapy operates via a fee-for-service model. Your options for acquiring and funding the supports for yourself or for your child are dependent upon your personal circumstances and any diagnosed disabilities or medical referrals you may have in place.

WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

You will be asked to provide information about yourself or your child, including any confirmed diagnosis/es and established supports, prior to your first appointment. You will be guided through what is required and your questions are always welcome throughout the referral and treatment process.

DO I NEED A REFERAL FROM MY CHILD'S GP OR PAEDIATRICIAN?

No. You do not need a medical referral to access our supports. However, formal assessment for diagnosis and some options for funding your services may require a referral. It may also be important to establish ongoing communication between our team and your other supports such as your doctor or your disability coordinator and providers.

DO YOU OFFER GROUP CONSULTATIONS OR WORKSHOPS?

Yes. Presentations can be tailored to suit groups such as teachers and educators, childcare and disability support workers, etc. Group therapy is not currently offered but depending on client circumstances and our team’s capacity, group supports may be offered by our disability support workers.

DO YOU TRAVEL TO PROVIDE SERVICES IN MY HOME OR SCHOOL?

Yes. Supports are established to suit individual client circumstances. At Table Talk Therapy & Supports, we pride ourselves on a client-centred approach to therapy and care services. This means that sometimes the most appropriate place for your supports is in your home, the wider community, or your child’s education setting.
